There will be another long and painful season upcoming in Minnesota, and that’s what happens when your team is in the rebuild process.
Not too worry T-Wolves fans, the main building block is Al Jefferson, a human wall who can score. This will only be his fourth year in the NBA and already has averaged 15 point a game. Just last season, he was averaging 20 points a game. An even bigger season could be seen in the folds for Big Al.
Besides Al Jefferson, there aren’t many other scoring threats or none at all. There are just a lot of rookies and sophomores. One of the rookies who could make an impact, and the odds are low, is Kevin Love. The 6 foot 10 forward out of UCLA, who played only one year of college ball. It will be a long shot if he could do something, because he was also advised to play another year in college to develop into a better player. Some of the sophomores are Cory Brewer and Randy Foye. Both had okay rookie years, and both showed a lot of rookie mistakes. Over time both will develop into the players they were drafted to be.
Overall, this year will be a long one, but it will be more of a developmental season. The playoffs are certainly out of the question and another 13th place finish or lower looks probable.
POSITIVE --> DEVELOPMENT OF AL JEFFFERSON AND OTHER YOUNG TALENT.
NEGATIVE --> TOO YOUNG.
X-FACTOR --> BIG AL, ALL WILL DEPEND ON HIM.
SLEEPER PICK --> RANDY FOYE. I BELIVE HE WILL HAVE A BREAKOUT SEASON.
PREDICTION --> NO PLAYOFFS.
OVERALL --> LOSING BASKETBALL.
